About

Windfall Thrift Store

Non-Profit Business

The Windfall Thrift was established in the south Perry neighborhood in April of 1961 and we believe is the oldest operating business in the neighborhood. It is owned by St John’s Episcopal cathedral and all income (less utilities) is used for charitable purposes. All inventory is donated and all workers are volunteers. Traditionally open 5 afternoons a week, due to Covid,  it is now open only Thursday and Saturday afternoons. A partial list of charities it supports is displayed at the store and includes World Relief, Camp Cross, Union Gospel Mission and the YWCA Womens Closet. The Windfall also supports Grant School with donations of supplies, books and cash.
