Compact and affordable Perry District room in shared house
Come live at the Perry Perch, a coliving home in the Perry District (AKA the west end of East Central Neighborhood) a block east of the Sherman bike corridor that leads directly to the University District bridge and the East Main block Downtown. We are several friendly professionals of all ages looking for a new housemate who wants to live in community. Ideal candidates have some experience living in a shared house with peaceful and friendly, respectful, fun-loving and quiet housemates.
If you enjoy gardening and cooking, this is the place for you! We have raised bed gardens in our fenced back yard and are within walking distance of downtown, hospitals, and the popular Perry District. We are also near a frequent bus route.
The Room: We have one lower level room available. It has a large closet space and is $485/month. This room is in the northeast corner of the house and shares a same-floor full bathroom with 1-2 other housemates. 2 other housemates have their own separate bathroom on the main floor.
The House: Common spaces include a newly remodeled open-concept kitchen with stainless steel appliances, bar seating and lots of light. The dining and living rooms have original hardwood floors throughout with a sliding barn door and built-ins framing a mantle. Other amenities include free onsite digital laundry machines and a patio nook that looks into the back yard gardens. The garden has fruit trees, berry bushes and raised beds for gardening fun times. People with the skills and desire to be active in the garden are a definite a plus in this living arrangement.
We are a non-smoking, non-vaping, social house. Utilities are not included in rent, but they are typically split five ways and are very affordable. We are currently looking for tenants who do not have pets and who are taking pandemic precautions very seriously.
A $300 refundable security deposit is required to secure the room and a background check is required in the shared house. All leases are month to month for your flexibility. This means you are responsible to pay for your full last month’s rent regardless of the date you give 30 days notice to move out on. We can pro-rate your move-in month rent, but you are responsible for rent through the last full month of your lease. We do not require last month’s rent to move-in unless your rental or credit history requires it.
