Peone Creek Pottery is the studio pottery business I started in Spokane in 1990. I love making functional pieces I know will be used and enjoyed daily. All my pottery is oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe and the glazes are food safe. My pottery is distinguished by hand carved textures and rich glaze colors. My love of the outdoors also influences my work. Leaves turning in a breeze, sunlight dappling through a canopy of leaves or sparkling on moving water, and pine trees silhouetted against the sky all find their way into my pottery.

Most years I do a number of the local Arts and Crafts shows. My pottery is available for sale year-round at Pottery Place Plus, 203 N Washington St, Spokane, WA. (See the separate listing for Pottery Place Plus in this directory.)

These flat trays were originally made to serve french bread.  But my customers happily use them for serving anything from cheese/salami slices to scrambled eggs. A hanger is included allowing the tray to be used as a wall decoration.  The trays come in five colors.  Dimensions: About 15" long x 6" wide x 1 1/2" tall.

This is one of the most versatile pots I make. It can be used as a serving dish for salads or hot vegetables. The baker is equivalent to a 9” x 9: pan, so anything from corn bread to brownies can be baked in it. And of course all your favorite casseroles will be special hits when served in a beautiful dish. Pair this baker with the Baker 3# to create a matching set. Available in seven styles and colors. Dimensions: 3” Tall x 9” Diameter. Capacity: About 7 cups.

My berry bowl is a small colander resting on a water catching dish. Berries, grapes, cherry tomatoes can all be rinsed and then taken without dripping to the table for serving. Available in six styles and colors. Dimensions: Colander 4” Tall x 7 ½” Diameter; Dish ¾” Tall x 4 ¾” Diameter. Capacity: About three cups.

This bowl is the perfect size to hold a salad for four people or to use as a large serving bowl (think mashed potatoes). To make a nested serving or mixing bowl set, pair this bowl with my Bowl 2#. Available in six styles and colors. Dimensions: 5” Tall x 10” Diameter. Capacity: About 9 cups.

My French Butter Dishes are designed to keep butter fresh, soft, and spreadable WITHOUT refrigeration. 1 1/2 sticks of butter will fit in the bell. The tapered bell prevents the butter from falling out. 1 ½” of water in the bottom creates an air seal when the top is put back in place. This seal keeps the butter fresh. The butter dish can be kept on your kitchen counter so the butter will always be soft and spreadable. Cedar sprigs are impressed on the bottom part of this piece. The top is decorated with a mountain forest image. My French butter dishes are offered in seven color choices. Dimensions: 4” Tall x 4 ¼” Diameter.

My oil bottles are made to deliver an easily measured pour of oils, vinegars, coffee flavorings, liquors or any other liquid. The pour spout has a covered end. The shape of the piece makes it easy to pick up and balance in the hand to use. I offer nine different colors and designs that will coordinate with any decor. My  platters are the ideal crowd sized serving tray, whether for hot or cold dishes. Combine the platter and a one-cup bowl to make a chip or veggie platter with your favorite dip. Available in seven colors and styles.  Dimensions: About 14" diameter x 2 1/2" tall

Do you need a spot of decorative color but have no room on a countertop or table? The perfect solution is one of my small sconces that hang on the wall. These sconces are glazed on the inside to hold water for fresh flowers; and also display dried or silk flowers well. Better than a picture because there is a whole new look when the flowers are changed! Sconces can also be used to hold other items like pens, scissors, or tooth brushes. Available in nine styles and colors. Dimensions: 8 ½” Long x 2” Diameter.
