One of the treasures to be found in Spokane, Washington is Pottery Place Plus, an artist cooperative gallery that features fine arts and crafts made by local artists from the Spokane area. Pottery Place Plus opened in 1978, making it one of the oldest artist cooperatives in all the western states. In addition to pottery the gallery offers works in fused and stained glass, fiber arts, turned wood, a wide selection of jewelry, handmade candles, and bath products. Two dimensional works include photography; oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings; and mixed media.

The pattern on this silk scarf resembles Tiger's stripes! The print was made using a process called eco printing that uses plant material to print natural fiber fabrics. In this case, yellow onion skins and rusted nails. The scarf is 14" x 72" and is hand washable in cool water and shampoo. Hang it to dry, lightly iron if desired. Silk crepe de chine is warm in winter and cool in summer and makes a great traveling piece with little wrinkling. 

I print each scarf individually so there may be slight variations.
